Job summary

Springfield Rehabilitation and HealthCare Center is seeking a Full-time Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness across patient rooms, hallways, walls, furniture and equipment. The role requires standing for 7–8 hours, lifting heavy objects, and working with standard cleaning chemicals in a patient-centered environment.

You will follow established cleaning schedules, load washers, operate machines, empty trash and handle Laundry duties while collaborating with a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand Standard English.
• Must be flexible, be a team player, and have a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, hallways, walls, furniture and equipment.
• Follow established cleaning schedules.
• Load washers.
• Operate washing machines and dryers according to policy.
• Empty garbage cans.
• Gather dirty laundry.
• Fold and store laundry.
• Clean patient bathrooms.
• Other duties as assigned.

Fulltime Housekeeper at Springfield Rehabilitation and HealthCare Center

This person must be able to deal tactfully and effectively with patients, families, fellow employees and visitors. The qualified applicant for this position must be able to be on feet 7-8 hours a day, lift heavy objects and work with standard cleaning chemicals.

Duties

• cleaning patient rooms, hallways, walls, furniture and equipment
• following established cleaning schedules
• loading washers
• operating washing machines & dryers according to manufacturer's and center's policy
• emptying garbage cans
• gathering dirty laundry
• folding/ storing laundry
• cleaning patient bathrooms
• other duties as assigned
