Benchmark Senior Living in Norwood, MA is seeking a housekeeper to maintain a safe, clean community for residents, associates, and visitors. Responsibilities include laundering towels and linens, cleaning resident apartments, and maintaining a tidy laundry room.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience cleaning residential or commercial settings is preferred, but training is provided.
• Understanding proper handling of biohazardous waste.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident apartments as scheduled, including bathrooms and kitchens.
• Vacuum all areas and empty wastebaskets.
• Washes interior windows and maintains common areas per standards.
• Maintain a clean laundry area and store chemicals as instructed.

We are looking for a housekeeper to join our team! As a Benchmark housekeeper, your main role will be to maintain a community that is safe and clean for residents, associates, and visitors. You will be responsible for laundering towels, bed linens, and resident laundry, and the upkeep of resident apartments.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly cleans all assigned resident apartments as scheduled by the supervisor including:
• Bathrooms: toilet bowl, sinks, and bathtubs, wipes countertops, and mirrors, and sterilizes floors
• Kitchen: wipes counters and under objects, mops kitchen floor
• Vacuum all exposed areas completely, including edges.
• Empties and rinses (if necessary) wastebaskets.
• Washes inside of windows as needed.
• Cleans all common areas according to standards and practices including elevators, halls, landings, stairs, resident activity areas, lobbies, and model units, and cleans other flat surfaces as scheduled or requested by the supervisor.
• Maintains a clean laundry room in an orderly manner and stores chemicals in accordance with product or supervisor instruction.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Experience cleaning residential or commercial settings is preferred, but we will train.
• Understands the practices surrounding the proper handling of biohazardous waste.
