Job summary

Raleigh Oaks Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated housekeeper for full-time, on-site work in Garner, NC. Expect 8:00 am–4:30 pm with rotating weekends, maintaining a clean, safe environment across patient areas and facilities.

The role requires HS diploma and 1+ year healthcare housekeeping experience, with English proficiency and safety training. CPR/de-escalation certification may be needed after hire. Competitive benefits available.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• One or more years' housekeeping experience in a commercial, clinic or healthcare environment required.
• Basic reading, writing, speaking skills and understand English sufficient to provide and receive instructions/directions required.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification may be required (training available upon hire). First aid may be required based on state or facility.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning and custodial tasks to keep facility sanitary and orderly.
• Cleans rooms, baths, laboratories, offices and halls; uses buffers, scrubbers, and cleaning equipment.
• Oversees daily housekeeping operations as needed and ensures safety practices are followed.
• Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies and prepares rooms for meetings.

Housekeeper- Full Time | Raleigh Oaks Behavioral Health | Garner, North CarolinaAbout the Job:Schedule:8am-4:30pm+ rotating weekends!The Lead Housekeeper is responsible for keeping a clean and healthy client care environment by maintaining assigned areas in a clean, safe, sanitary and orderly manner. May oversee the day-to-day operation of housekeeping for facility. Advises supervisor on environmental services equipment needs and repairs. Ensures that infectious waste and confidential disposal contractors perform as scheduled.Roles and Responsibilities:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Performs specific cleaning and custodial tasks in the general upkeep, sanitation and cleanliness of the facility. Conducts daily cleaning of the facility including, but not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing of fixtures, general straightening, and cleaning of bathrooms.May oversee the day-to-day operation of housekeeping for facility.Cleans facility rooms, baths, laboratories, offices and halls. Utilizes buffers, scrubbers, sweepers and carpet cleaning equipment as necessary.Washes bed frames, brushes mattresses and remakes beds after discharge of clients, when applicable.Keeps utility and storage rooms in neat and orderly conditions.Operates commercial washers and dryers. Launders soiled linens as directed.Attends to infection control standards, transports soiled linen to storage area and distributes laundered articles and items.Sweeps, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors. Work is performed with careful attention to slips/fall risks during and after cleaning floors.Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies. Dusts furniture and equipment.Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels and sills.Empties wastebaskets, transports trash and waste to disposal area.Disinfects rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and supplies, using appropriate processes and germicides for cleaning equipment.Conducts daily check of cleaning cart to determine inventory of supplies. Maintains adequate cleaning supplies for department/unit use. May be responsible for stocking of supplies.Conducts daily check of linen supply closet to determine inventory of supplies.Properly cleans and stores all equipment and supplies after each shift.Practices standard/universal precautions and environmental safety guidelines, including instructions upon SDS (Safety Data Sheets) for materials encountered during task completion.Prepares rooms for meetings and arranges decorations and furniture for facility functions.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:High school graduate or equivalent required.One or more years' of housekeeping experience in a commercial, clinic or healthcare environment required.Previous Lead experience preferred.Previous experience in housekeeping in a commercial, clinical, or healthcare environment preferred.Basic reading, writing, speaking skills and understand English sufficient to provide and receive instructions/directions required.LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification may be required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).First aid may be required based on state or facility.WORK LOCATION:This position is onsite at the facility and is not a remote position.SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:This position is an Individual Contributor.Why Raleigh Oaks Behavioral Health?Raleigh Oaks Behavioral Health offers a comprehensive benefit plan and a competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
