Job summary

Buckner Retirement Services is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join The Stayton at Museum Way in Fort Worth, TX. This full-time role upholds Buckner's standards of cleanliness, hospitality, and resident care across all housekeeping tasks.

As part of the team, you will clean and service rooms, assist other departments, and maintain orderly storage and linen areas. The position emphasizes courteous service, safety, and adherence to clinical and facility guidelines.

Qualifications

• Requires in-depth understanding of all phases of housekeeping operations; prior related experience preferred.
• Requires basic knowledge of house cleaning devices, such as brooms, mops, etc., cleaning agents, and sanitation/cleaning requirements.
• Requires proficient ability to speak, read and write English; ability to understand and follow basic written and oral step-by-step instructions given in English.
• Requires ability to move cleaning equipment throughout the facility on a daily basis.
• Work deals mostly with objects, equipment, and/or machines at or within arm’s reach. Depth perception and field of vision (peripheral) are of some importance.
• Requires ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties in a courteous manner and maintain excellence in customer service including greeting residents and visitors and respecting co-workers.
• Clean and service rooms, baths, and offices; dust furniture and equipment; clean windows, light globes; empty trash; clean and polish bathtubs, sinks, mirrors, and similar items; replenish supplies; clean and polish brass, glass, doors, panels, and paneling; check and fill dispensers.
• Clean, mop, and treat floors; vacuum all carpet.
• Mix/dilute housekeeping chemicals and products according to instructions.
• Move furniture as needed in accordance with safety policies and procedures.
• Assist other departments with cleaning and other housekeeping assignments.
• Keep utility storage rooms in good order by cleaning lockers and equipment, organizing supplies, and sweeping and mopping floors; maintain linen closets safely.

What you’ll do:

• Perform all duties in a courteous manner and maintain excellence in customer service including but not limited to cheerfully greeting residents and visitors and exercising respect with co-workers.
• Clean and service rooms, baths, and offices; dust furniture and equipment; clean windows, window sills, light globes; empty trash baskets and remove trash; clean and polish bathtubs, sinks, mirrors, and similar items; replenish supplies of soap and towels; clean and polish brass, glass panels, doors, partitions, and paneling; check and fill all dispensers – hand soap, paper.
• Clean, mop, and treat floors.. Vacuum all carpet.
• Mix/dilute housekeeping chemicals and products according to instructions.
• Move furniture as needed in accordance with safety policies and procedures.
• Assist other departments with cleaning and other housekeeping assignments.
• Keep utility storage rooms in good order by cleaning lockers and equipment, arranging supplies, and sweeping and mopping floors. Organize and maintain linen closets in a safe and orderly condition at all times.
