Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a devoted housekeeper to join our Environmental Services team. This role covers housekeeping tasks and floor care with emphasis on between-case surgical cleaning and support across patient care areas, offices, and clinical suites.

The position demands reliable, detail-oriented staff with strong customer service and the ability to follow written and oral instructions. High school diploma preferred; previous institutional housekeeping experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience in an institutional setting preferred.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• The housekeeper/floor crew performs a wide variety of cleaning tasks from housekeeping to floor care, including between case surgical cleaning.
• Provides housekeeping support to patient care area, surgical areas, physician areas, office and administrative suites.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment for staff, customers, visitors, and patients.
• Ensures comprehensive cleaning as prescribed by department and in accordance with regulatory practices and procedures.
• Maintains stock and supplies.
• Provides other support to the department as needed.
