Job summary

The Health Center at Standifer Place is seeking a dedicated housekeeping staff member to maintain cleanliness in a long-term care setting. Shifts cover weekdays, weekends and holidays from 7:00am-3:00pm.

Full benefits include health, dental, vision, vacation pay, life insurance, and 401K. Responsibilities include bed making, cleaning patient rooms and bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, and ensuring equipment is maintained and stocked.

Qualifications

• Be a high school graduate or its equivalent and some knowledge of institutional cleaning procedures.
• Embrace the standards, values, and beliefs of the organization.
• Possess ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Be capable of maintaining effective working relationships with residents, family members, department heads, and fellow associates.
• Assure Resident Safety.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties for a long-term care nursing center.
• Make beds, clean patient rooms and bathrooms, sweep and mop floors, vacuum, and dust.
• Collect and remove trash from assigned area.
• Keep equipment clean and in proper operating condition.
• Maintain adequate level of housekeeping supplies.
