Responsibilities

• Maintain complete sanitation and cleaning of the facility.
• Fill linen requisitions for program and kitchen personnel.
• Stock linen supply room and process receipts for the Fiscal Office.
• Process material requisitions for all programs and keep records of items ordered.
• Keep records of items disbursed and advise Purchasing Agent accordingly.
• Empty all offices, conference rooms and restrooms; manage waste and recycling.
• Clean windows monthly.
• Strip and wax kitchen every Sunday.
• Fill housekeeping requests at other facilities as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Director and/or Administration.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the overall cleanliness and order of the total facility. Orders and maintains a thorough inventory of housekeeping items, such as linens and cleaning agents.

CATEGORIES OF DUTIES

• Responsible for the complete sanitation and cleaning of the facility.
• Fills linen requisitions for program and kitchen personnel.
• Prepares linen order. Stocks linen supply room when deliveries arrive and provides receipts and other documentation to the Fiscal Office.
• Fills all authorized material requisitions for all programs, to be ordered and/or re-ordered, and keeps own record or items ordered.
• Keeps records of items disbursed and advises Purchasing Agent accordingly.
• Empties all office, including conference and other rooms, and restrooms, waste receptacles, including emptying and replacing recycled paper bags and disposes of rubbish in bins provided.
• Cleans assigned windows outside and inside once each month.
• Strips and waxes kitchen every Sunday.
• Fills housekeeping requests at other facilities, as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Director and/or Administration.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

One (1) year in institutional housekeeping.
