Job summary

Bland County Nursing & Rehab Center is hiring a Housekeeper to support a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents. The role reports to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Environmental Services Director and covers general cleaning, dusting, mopping, and adherence to infection control procedures.

Responsibilities include handling cleaning chemicals safely, operating floor care equipment, and performing terminal cleanings while maintaining compliance with relevant standards.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of experience in Housekeeping.
• Knowledge of operating floor cleaners, buffers and vacuums.
• Knowledge of cleaning agents/chemicals.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to handle strong cleaning and disinfecting solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of general cleaning tasks.
• Dust furniture, woodwork, equipment and mop floors.
• Polish and clean fixtures in rooms and bathrooms.
• Wet mop rooms, halls and other areas.
• Clean vents, fans and high areas.
• Disinfect fixtures, floors, mirrors and walls.
• Move furniture as needed.
• Maintain isolation procedures in isolation rooms.
