Job summary

New Freedom is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain clean, safe facilities and support laundry operations in an outpatient behavioral health setting. The role involves room turnover, infection-control efforts, and helping create a welcoming environment for members, staff, and visitors.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, good communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, and can work both independently and as part of a team. Full-time, on-site with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Adapt to changing priorities and operational needs.
• Professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• One year or more of housekeeping, janitorial, custodial, hospitality, healthcare, or environmental services experience preferred.
• Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, residential treatment, hospitality, hotel, or community living environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitizing common areas, member rooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and shared spaces.
• Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and maintaining facility cleanliness.
• Performing laundry services, including washing, drying, folding, organizing, and distributing linens and bedding.
• Supporting room turnover and preparing rooms for new member occupancy.
• Maintaining housekeeping supplies, equipment, and work areas.
• Following infection-control, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Reporting maintenance, safety, or cleanliness concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Supporting a positive and welcoming environment for members and staff.
