Crothall Healthcare is seeking a part-time Housekeeper - Ambulatory Services at Southern Illinois Hospital in Carbondale, IL. The role focuses on disinfecting ambulatory facilities, patient areas, exam rooms, and other specialty spaces to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. The schedule is Monday through Friday with evening shifts.

No prior experience is required as training is provided. The fixed pay rate is $15.00 per hour, with benefits detailed for part-time and full-time

• Disinfects surfaces with provided chemicals.
• Dusts and polishes furniture, vents, sills, and ledges.
• Cleans reception glass and entrance windows.
• Cleans floors and rugs, including carpet and upholstery spots.
• Collects and disposes of general trash and biohazardous waste.
• Replenishes soap, towels, tissue, and other supplies.
• Maintains equipment and storage areas in orderly condition.
• Arms/disarms alarm systems as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• We are hiring immediately for part time HOUSEKEEPER - AMBULATORY SERVICES positions.
• Location: Southern Illinois Hospital - 1239 East Main Street, Carbondale, IL 62901. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Part time schedule; Monday through Friday, evening shift. More details upon interview.

Job Summary

Performs specialized cleaning duties with the intent of disinfecting ambulatory healthcare facilities including restrooms, patient areas, exam rooms, procedure rooms, and specialty areas.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Disinfects surfaces with provided chemicals.
• Dusts and polishes furniture and fittings, vents, window sills, and ledges.
• Cleans reception glass and entrance windows.
• Moves chairs/stools, waste/linen/biohazardous bins, small equipment on wheels, scales, and other items for proper cleaning. Realigns items according to recommended layout.
• Cleans floors including sweeping, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming. Performs carpet spot cleaning and upholstery spot cleaning.
• Collects and disposes of general trash and biohazardous waste. Performs routine cleaning on general trash and biohazardous waste containers.
• Replenishes soap, sanitizer, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, and other items.
• Maintains equipment, tools and storage areas in clean and orderly operating condition.
• Works with alarm systems to arm and disarm.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
