Job summary

Crothall Healthcare is hiring a full-time Housekeeper Ambulatory Services at Our Lady of the Lake Main Campus in Baton Rouge, LA. The role focuses on disinfecting ambulatory healthcare environments, patient areas, restrooms, and specialty spaces to support a safe, clean facility.

The schedule is Monday–Friday with rotating weekends; pay is $15.00–$16.00 per hour. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred, with excellent benefits offered by the employer.

• Experience in healthcare housekeeping preferred.

Responsibilities

• Disinfects surfaces and cleans patient areas, restrooms, exam rooms, and common spaces.
• Dusts and polishes furniture, vents, and fixtures as part of the cleaning process.
• Cleans reception glass and entrance areas.
• Moves furniture and equipment for thorough cleaning and maintains orderly spaces.
• Cleans floors via sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming; performs carpet and upholstery spot cleaning.
• Collects and disposes of trash and biohazardous waste per protocol.
• Restocks soap, towels, toilet paper, and other supplies as needed.
• Maintains and cleans cleaning equipment and storage areas.

Job Summary

Performs specialized cleaning duties with the intent of disinfecting ambulatory healthcare facilities including restrooms, patient areas, exam rooms, procedure rooms, and specialty areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Disinfects surfaces with provided chemicals.
• Dusts and polishes furniture and fittings, vents, window sills, and ledges.
• Cleans reception glass and entrance windows.
• Moves chairs/stools, waste/linen/biohazardous bins, small equipment on wheels, scales, and other items for proper cleaning. Realigns items according to recommended layout.
• Cleans floors including sweeping, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming. Performs carpet spot cleaning and upholstery spot cleaning.
• Collects and disposes of general trash and biohazardous waste. Performs routine cleaning on general trash and biohazardous waste containers.
• Replenishes soap, sanitizer, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, and other items.
• Maintains equipment, tools and storage areas in clean and orderly operating condition.
• Works with alarm systems to arm and disarm.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
