Job summary

PruittHealth's The Oaks at Whitaker Glen in North Carolina seeks a dedicated housekeeping teammate to provide cleaning services for residents, staff and visitors, maintaining a safe, sanitary and homelike environment in line with facility policies and regulations.

Responsibilities include floor care, vacuuming, trash removal, bathroom and surface cleaning, infection control, dusting, moving furniture, and ensuring cleanliness behind furnishings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in housekeeping.
• Healthcare environment experience preferred.
• Ability to follow infection control standards.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, damp mops, and wet mops tile floors; may spray buff, strip or wax floors as per center procedures.
• Vacuums carpeted rooms as applicable.
• Empties trash cans, cleans exterior and interior areas, replaces liners.
• Cleans bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets following procedures.
• Cleans glass surfaces such as mirrors, pictures, and windows.
• Cleans behind and underneath furnishings.
• Follows infection control standards while performing cleaning.
• Prevents wax/dirt buildup in corners, baseboards, and doorways.
• Dusts and damp cleans surfaces in patient/resident rooms.
• Moves furniture to clean behind/underneath as required.

Job Purpose

Provides cleaning services to provide a safe sanitary, comfortable and homelike environment for residents, staff and the public. Housekeeping services provided are in accordance with facility policies and procedures and consistent with state and federal laws and regulations to maintain an environment that enhances the quality of life for residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Sweeps, damp mops, and wet mops tile floors. May occasionally be required to spray buff, strip or wax floors, following center procedures, including the use of wet floor signs.
• Vacuums carpeted rooms as applicable.
• Empties trash cans, cleans exterior, cleans interior, and replaces with a clean can liner.
• Cleans bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets, following center procedures.
• Cleans glass surfaces such as mirrors, pictures, and windows.
• Cleans behind and underneath furnishings.
• Follows infection control standards while performing cleaning.
• Prevents/removes wax/dirt buildup in corners, around baseboards, and in doorways.
• Dust/damp cleans surfaces in patient/resident rooms (furniture, bed frames, windowsills, etc.) following center procedure, including the use of wet floor signs.
• Moves furniture to clean behind/underneath, according to center procedures.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications)

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Previous Experience With Healthcare Housekeeping Or Environmental Services Preferred
