Job summary

Atlantic Park Living is seeking a Housekeeper to keep the community clean and neat, including offices, models, clubhouse, lobbies, laundry room, and grounds. The role is supervised by the Property Manager and Service Manager, with weekend hours possibly required.

Responsibilities include preparing vacant units, maintaining common areas, managing supplies, and ensuring safety policies are followed. Prior experience is not required, but reliability and basic maintenance knowledge are expected.

Qualifications

• No formal training required, just a willingness to work and learn.
• Must have working knowledge of building maintenance and safety policies.
• Excellent communications skills are a must.

Responsibilities

• Obtain list of vacant units that need cleaning and prepare work assignments.
• Prepare vacant units for occupancy.
• Maintain daily upkeep of the clubhouse and common areas.
• Care for and inventory supplies and equipment owned by the property/management company.
• Clean and polish fixtures, surfaces, restrooms, lobbies, elevators and stairs.
• Report unusual circumstances regarding the property or residents and respond courteously.
• Operate within OSHA standards and company safety policies at all times.
• Know and follow management and property community policies.
• Report defects to the Property Manager for necessary repairs.
• Perform other duties safely as required by supervisory personnel.

The Housekeeper is a team member responsible for keeping the community clean and neat. Areas which may be involved include offices, models, clubhouse, lobbies, laundry room, common areas and the grounds. Housekeeper works under the supervision of the Property Manager and Service Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein.

• Obtains list of vacant units that need to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective checkouts in order to prepare work assignments.


• Responsible for the preparation of vacant units for occupancy.


• Responsible for the daily upkeep of the clubhouse and common areas of property buildings.


• Responsible for the care, maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment owned by the property and/or management company.


• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, solid surfaces, and trim, cleans rest rooms, lobbies, elevators, stairways.


• Responsible for reporting unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents.


• Responsible for courteous, efficient response at all times.


• Be aware of and operate within OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company safety policies at all times.


• Responsible for thorough knowledge of management company policies and property community policies.


• Responsible for reporting to Property Manager any defects of deficiencies noted during the days work so that the Property Manager may order necessary repairs.


• Performs other duties or job functions that can be performed safely as required or deemed necessary by supervisory personnel.

• Stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel.


• Reach with hands and arms; able to talk and/or hear.

Knowledge, Abilities and Other Qualities

Must have a working knowledge of building maintenance, able to work independently and exhibit a willingness to learn. Excellent communications skills are a must.

Equipment/Machinery/Tools

Required equipment consists of a mop, broom, vacuum cleaner, carpet cleaning equipment, buffer, and stepladder.

Physical Requirements

Required (66% to 100% of time) to be on feet. Have constant need (66% to 100% of time) to perform the following physical activities.
