The McAuley in West Hartford, CT is seeking a Housekeeping Specialist on a part-time, day-shift basis. This per diem opportunity focuses on maintaining clean, safe environments for residents, staff and visitors, with emphasis on following established cleaning protocols.

Responsibilities include thorough bathroom and kitchen sanitation, dusting, vacuuming, linen handling, and supporting environmental services staff.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in spoken and written English to ensure effective communication with residents and colleagues.
• Preferred: Three months of experience in institutional housekeeping operations, demonstrating familiarity with cleaning agents, laundry procedures, and equipment handling.

• Dusting of all surfaces without disturbance to personal belongings.
• Comprehensive cleaning of kitchen areas, encompassing sinks, countertops, stoves, and refrigerator tops.
• Effective vacuuming, ensuring cleanliness under furniture and in corners.
• Responsible handling of both clean and soiled linens as per established protocols.
• Assistance with various departmental tasks as directed by the Environmental Services Director or Housekeeping Supervisor.

Essential Job Functions

• Adherence to safety protocols, including handling of hazardous materials and infection control measures.
