Job summary

Mahler Private Staffing is seeking an experienced, full-charge Housekeeper to join a private Wellington, FL family, reporting to a household team and maintaining the highest standards in a multi‑member staff environment.

Initially based in Palm Beach during renovations, the role shifts to Wellington once complete. Expect five days per week, daytime hours with some evenings, occasional travel to other homes (3–4 weeks/year), and a comprehensive benefits package including insurance and holidays.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Housekeeper

Wellington, FL

A lovely family with school-age children is seeking an experienced, full-charge, hands‑on Housekeeper to join their collaborative household team in a full‑time, year‑round role based in their Wellington, FL primary residence. For the first few months, the position will be based in Palm Beach, FL while renovations are completed on the family's Wellington home.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished Housekeeper who takes pride in ownership, upholds exceptional standards, and thrives both independently and as part of a fully staffed household team.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily housekeeping, deep cleaning, laundry, linen care, and household organization to the highest standards.
• Help maintain a smooth daily operation and communicate proactively regarding household needs, preferences, or maintenance concerns.
• Work closely with the household team to ensure seamless coverage, consistent standards, and an orderly, guest‑ready home.
• Assist with household inventories, supply management, and routine provisioning as needed.
• Support weekend coverage as part of a shared team rotation.
• The ability to travel to other family homes for 3-4 weeks per year is a big plus.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a similar private household or luxury hospitality environment (boutique hotel, yacht, etc.).
• Excellent, verifiable references.
• Proven ability to take initiative, work independently, and collaborate effectively as part of a household team.
• Strong organizational skills, excellent standards, discretion, and a service‑minded approach.
• Must have strong English communication skills.
• Must be comfortable working in a home with two large dogs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Schedule

• Generally, five days per week with two consecutive days off. (Sun-Thu or Tue-Sat)
  • All team members assist with some weekend coverage.
  • Daytime hours with some flexibility for early evening coverage.

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation: $45-$50 per hour, depending on experience.
