Job summary

Runk & Pratt Health Care Ent Inc is seeking a housekeeping/janitorial professional to perform cleaning tasks including vacuuming, dusting, mopping and window cleaning. The role includes reporting safety hazards to the Housekeeping Supervisor/Lead and ensuring proper chemical storage and labeling in line with safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED.
• Ability to pass a State Police background check with no disqualifying offenses.
• Current Tuberculosis screening within 7 days prior to first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, mopping, windows cleaning and disinfecting.
• Assist in identifying and reporting safety hazards to Housekeeping Supervisor/Lead.
• Ensure proper handling, storage and labeling of cleaning chemicals; maintain secure housekeeping carts.
• Follow infection control policies and PPE usage; maintain neat, orderly housekeeping closets.
• Work under time constraints while maintaining safety and quality.

Performs cleaning and janitorial duties such as: vacuuming, dusting, mopping, cleaning windows, disinfecting – deep and light cleaningAssists in identifying and reporting safety hazards and environmental risks - reports needs for major and minor repairs to Housekeeping Supervisor/LeadEnsures the safe handling, storage, and supervision of chemicals and hazardous materials, maintaining secure housekeeping carts when not under direct supervisionEnsures all cleaning chemicals are properly labeled and stored in accordance with safety guidelinesFollows infection prevention and control practices, including proper cleaning, disinfecting, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Maintain a neat and clean appearance; closed-toe shoes are requiredMust be able to perform duties in accordance with the guidelines mandated by Social Services as the licensing agent of this facilityBe of acceptable physical and mental health to carry out assigned dutiesEmployee must possess mature judgment skills and be able to respond to emergency situationsLaundry/Linens (wash, dry, hang & put away in proper places)Keeps housekeeping closet(s) neat and orderlyAssist in control of sanitationAble to work under time constraints while maintaining attention to safety and qualityPerforms daily tasks as set forth by the Housekeeping Supervisor/DesigneeAttendance is required during inclement weatherFollows infection control policies & proceduresFollows all policies & procedures of Runk and PrattMaintains appropriate & respectful conduct within the workplaceProvides support in any area that may arise that is above and beyond the normal expectations for this positionAble to lift, push, pull and carry a minimum weight of 50 lbs. without limitations using proper body mechanicsAble to stand and walk for extended periods of timeAble to kneel, bend and crawlAble to squat and crouchAble to work in confined areasAble to tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning chemicalsGraduation from high school or GEDComplete annual in-service training as requiredState Police background check that is free from barrier offensesA current Tuberculosis screening on or within 7 days prior to the first day of employment and free from TuberculosisAt least every other weekend & holiday hours requiredThe ability to meet physical requirements for positionThe ability to pass a drug test
