Job summary

CARES is seeking a Housekeeper to help keep a multi-building property clean throughout the day, including restrooms, common areas, the kitchen and dining spaces, and related duties. The role supports retreat-like experiences across summer and year-round programming.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and be legally authorized to work in the United States. Prior experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow the cleaning schedule to maintain all areas throughout the day.
• Remove trash and recycling.
• Ensure restrooms and common areas are stocked with supplies.
• Light cooking and food preparation.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations for a safe environment.
• Develop programming, order supplies, and communicate with facilitators and management.
• Perform related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Housekeeper's role is to ensure that our building complex is well maintained throughout the day. This includes tasks such as maintaining the restrooms, upkeep of common areas, cleaning the kitchen and dining areas and other tasks on an as-needed basis.

The property includes multiple buildings, an outdoor pool area, sporting fields and a fire pit. It is used for retreat-like experiences all summer long and intermittently throughout the year.

Responsibilities

• Follow the cleaning schedule for each day to ensure that all areas are maintained throughout the day.
• Remove trash/recycling.
• Ensure that there are supplies in restrooms or other areas, informing a supervisor when supplies are low.
• Light cooking and food preperation.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for all.
• Develop programming, order supplies, communicate with facilitators and management.
• Perform related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

• Prior experience is a plus.
• Prior experience working with persons with developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
• Must be authorized to work within the United States.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
