Job summary

Sky Ranch in Texas is seeking a dedicated housekeeper to maintain cabins, meeting rooms, and other facilities in a timely and efficient manner to support our ministry and camp operations. You will work with a team or alone to complete tasks, clean offices and restrooms, organize supplies, and report progress to your supervisor while adhering to Sky Ranch policies and safety standards.

A high school diploma is preferred and zero to three years of housekeeping experience are acceptable; commitment

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Zero to three years’ experience in housekeeping.
• Knowledge of workplace housekeeping procedures.
• Ability to interact with management and team members.
• Ability to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team member or alone to complete all scheduled tasks.
• Clean all assigned offices, cabins, and/or public restrooms, as well as sweeping/mopping and/or vacuuming floors, picking up trash, restocking/refilling supplies.
• Organize supplies for the day.
• Report to supervisor any uncompleted tasks.
• Turn in all lost and found items to designated areas in Guest Registrations or School Programs.

This position is critical to the ministry of Sky Ranch and contributes directly to our mission of leading youth and families to know and follow Christ. Housekeepers serve the mission of Sky Ranch by maintaining the cleanliness of cabins, meeting rooms, and other facilities in a timely and efficient manner.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Work with a team member or alone to complete all scheduled tasks.
• Clean all assigned offices, cabins, and/or public restrooms, as well as sweeping/mopping and/or vacuuming floors, picking up trash, restocking/refilling supplies.
• Organize supplies for the day.
• Report to supervisor any uncompleted tasks.

Other Duties And Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with Sky Ranch’s employee policies and procedures.
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

• High school diploma preferred.

EXPERIENCE

• Zero to three years’ experience in housekeeping.

KNOWLEDGE

• Knowledge of workplace housekeeping procedures.

Skills And Abilities

• Ability to interact with management and team members.
• Ability to follow directions.

EQUIPMENT AND PROPERTY

• Industrial cleaning supplies.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Some physical effort required.
• Ability to use up to 20 pounds of force routinely, and/or up to 40 pounds of force occasionally to move objects.
• Will involve much physical effort, including bending, stooping, climbing ladders/bunks, carrying supplies.
• Ability to grasp, push, pull, carry or otherwise manipulate objects; ability to perform tasks requiring action of muscles or groups of muscles and foot and/or hand-eye coordination including: wiping, mopping, and sweeping.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Works indoors mostly with some exposure to seasonal weather elements.
