Job summary

Richwood Nursing & Rehab is seeking Two (2) Full Time Housekeepers to work from 7:00am to 3:30pm in Oldham County, LaGrange. Duties include general laundry and housekeeping to maintain a sanitary nursing home environment.

Competitive benefits and a base pay of $13.00/hour are offered. Responsibilities include cleaning public areas, resident rooms, bathrooms and floors, following safety guidelines, and assisting with inventory and supplies as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a long-term care facility preferred.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Ability to follow safety protocols and sanitation standards.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Richwood Nursing & Rehab is seeking Two (2) Full Time Housekeeper's to work from 7:00am to 3:30pm (Located in Oldham County, LaGrange - Exit 22 from Hwy 71 - Cherrywood Subdivision)

As a Housekeeper, you will be performing a variety of general laundry and housekeeping/cleaning duties to provide quality laundry service and to maintain the nursing home in a sanitary manner, and free from offensive orders.

Base Pay: $13.00/hourly

Maintain all public and common areas throughout the day including

• lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains and floors.
• Maintain the cleanliness of resident rooms and bathrooms.
• Maintain handrails to ensure they are clean and free of debris.
• Clean and remove dust, dirt or food off walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures. towel bars, towel dispensers.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Utilize proper safety measures when cleaning, including the use of caution signage and keeping supplies and chemicals out of reach of the residents.
• Use supplies and equipment in a safe manner by following the user manual instructions.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment and storage areas in a safe, sanitary, clean and orderly manner.
• Notify the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing immediately regarding resident safety issues or concerns.
• Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies are needing replenished.
• Excellent customer skills and positive attitude.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently or with a team.

Supervisory Requirements This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Qualification Education and/or Experience Minimum requirement to perform the essential functions of this position is a High School Diploma or a GED. Experience working in a long-term care facility preferred.

Language Skills Ability to read and understand procedure and instruction manuals and directions.

Mathematical Skills Basic math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Fluent in written and spoken English.
