Job summary

Avenir Senior Living in Surprise, AZ, is seeking a Part-Time Housekeeping Associate to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across the hospital and patient areas. The role involves daily cleaning, laundry duties, and adherence to health and safety standards.

Education: High School, with at least 6 months of housekeeping experience preferred. Strong reading, writing and teamwork skills are important for collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and following procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred (hospitality or healthcare setting is a plus).
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance tasks across patient rooms, common areas, offices, and hallways as assigned.
• Collect, sort, wash, fold, and distribute hospital linens and laundry in accordance with sanitary procedures.
• Safely operate and maintain housekeeping equipment, tools, and cleaning chemicals (including proper dilution and handling).
• Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control policies, regulatory standards (OSHA, local Health Department), and facility guidelines.
• Promptly report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or needed repairs to the Director of Plant Operations.

Position Summary
