Job summary

Sunnyvale Gardens Post Acute is seeking a dedicated and thorough Full-Time Housekeeper to join our environmental services team. In this evening role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our patients, residents, and staff.

If you have a strong eye for detail and want to work in a supportive healthcare environment, we want to hear from you! You will clean rooms, sanitize surfaces, manage linens, and follow infection control and chemical safety

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or EVS preferred; healthcare or hotel setting a huge plus.
• Attention to detail and high sanitary standards.
• Physically able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift 30–50 pounds.
• Reliability with consistent attendance and ability to work the Wed–Sun evening schedule.

Responsibilities

• Room cleaning: Clean, sanitize, and tidy patient rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and hallways.
• Surface care: Dust furniture, polish fixtures, wash windows, and sanitize high-touch surfaces.
• Floor maintenance: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and spray floor surfaces as needed.
• Waste removal: Empty trash cans, replace liners, and safely dispose of biohazard waste according to facility protocols.
• Linen management: Restock clean linens in resident rooms and transport soiled linens to the laundry area.
• Safety compliance: Follow infection control guidelines, chemical safety protocols (SDS), and healthcare regulations.
• Stocking: Keep housekeeping carts organized and replenish cleaning supplies as needed.
