Job summary

HHS is seeking friendly, compassionate individuals to join the hospital housekeeping team at Mercy Hospital South. You will help create a safe, clean, and healing environment for patients and staff.

This role offers day, evening, and night shifts and requires a background check and eligibility verification in the U.S. Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms and common areas, following established procedures, and supporting team members to run the department efficiently.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team.
• Maintain good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and in uniform.
• Preferred housekeeping experience in healthcare or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, common areas, restrooms, and more
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of assigned areas
• Follow all HHS cleaning procedures and best practices

Responsibilities

Hospital Housekeeper

• Wage: $ 17 /hour
• Full-time and part-time positions available
• Day/Evening/Night shifts available
• Background check, drug screen, and proof of employment eligibility required
• Location: Mercy Hospital South

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, common areas, restrooms, and more
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of assigned areas
• Follow all HHS cleaning procedures and best practices
• Provide friendly and kind service to all individuals in the hospital
• Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
• Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform
• Preferred: Housekeeping experience (cleaning, environmental services, custodian, janitorial, room attendant, floor care technician, hotel operations, healthcare)

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift
• Pushing and pulling carts or equipment (over 100 lb.) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift
• Must handle chemicals including bleach, wax, and disinfectants
• Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
