Job summary

The Cliffs in Sunset, SC is seeking a detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain guest and member areas, including cleaning, sanitizing, and laundering. This role reports to the General Manager and requires a willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

As part of a supportive Food and Beverage department, you will interact with clubhouse staff and members to ensure a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Demonstrated housekeeping experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and cleaning chemicals.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Self-starter; able to work with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping tasks: vacuum, dust, polish brass, mop, disinfect areas, and launder items.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, glass doors, and exercise equipment.
• Dispose of trash and report damages or maintenance needs.
• Coordinate with clubhouse staff and members to fulfill duties.
• Handle additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Performs tasks assigned by management to include, but not limited to, vacuuming, dusting, polishing brass, mopping, disinfecting phones, and laundry
• Uses cleaning chemicals to sanitize restrooms, glass doors, and exercise equipment
• Disposes of trash properly
• Regularly communicates with all clubhouse associates, members and other individuals as deemed necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position
• Reports any damage, burned out light bulbs, and any plumbing problems to supervisor.
• Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• Demonstrated experience in housekeeping
• Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of OSHA standards and other environmental safety standards, as applied to cleaning chemicals and compounds
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Self-starter; able to work with little or no supervision

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
• Ability to operate all necessary tools to perform the essential functions of the position
• Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of OSHA standards and other environmental safety standards, as applied to cleaning chemicals and compounds
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Self-starter; able to work with little or no supervision
