Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare or long-term care setting is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Read and understand procedure and instruction manuals and directions.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
• Ability to solve practical problems in varied situations.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public and common areas including lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors.
• Ensure resident rooms and bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
• Wipe down handrails and remove dust and debris from walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, and dispensers.
• Empty trash and replace liners as needed.
• Sweep and mop floors throughout the facility.
• Follow safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals safely.
• Operate cleaning equipment and use supplies per manufacturer instructions.
• Keep carts, equipment, and storage areas clean and sanitary.
• Report safety concerns to the Director of Housekeeping or Nursing leadership.
• Notify when supplies need replenishment.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and a positive attitude.
