Job summary

Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Sidney is seeking a friendly Housekeeper to maintain clean, comfortable guest rooms and public spaces. You will follow brand standards, restock supplies, and help ensure every guest feels at home in a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, and reporting maintenance needs. Prior housekeeping experience is helpful but not required; physical stamina and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing and walking for an entire shift, and bending, pushing, and pulling regularly.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
• Ability to manage time effectively and complete assigned rooms within the scheduled shift.
• Prior housekeeping, cleaning, or custodial experience preferred but not required.
• Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service assigned guest rooms daily, including making beds, changing linens, and replenishing towels and toiletries.
• Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and dust furniture and fixtures to brand standards.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms thoroughly, including toilets, sinks, showers, and mirrors.
• Restock in-room supplies such as soap, shampoo, coffee, and stationery.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and lost-and-found items to the appropriate department promptly.
• Organize the linen closet and restock your cart at the end of each shift to prepare for the next day.
• Greet guests warmly and assist with any immediate needs or requests encountered during your shift.
