Job summary

Encore Village of Schaumburg is hiring for pool housekeepers. The Housekeeper will provide clean, sanitary, orderly and satisfying surroundings for residents, associates and guests.

Under the leadership of the Housekeeping Manager, the housekeeper will perform housekeeping services according to established policies and procedures to maintain great levels of cleanliness. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous hotel or healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, dust mops, sweeper extractors, scrubbers.
• Clean carpets, tile, wood flooring.
• Maintain facility in a sanitary and infection free condition washing, cleaning, replenishing and replacing supplies.
• Work in residential and common areas as well as public restrooms, pool and other recreational areas.
• Dispose of trash.
• Handle cleaning chemicals and comply with regulations (OSHA, EPA, State Health Department). Read MSDS and labels.
• May handle exposure to blood or body fluids per OSHA bloodborne Pathogens standards.
• Maintain daily and project schedules and notify manager of changes.
• Perform window cleaning.
• Assist in maintaining supplies and chemicals and notify manager when needed.
• Be flexible with hours and rotate weekends or shifts.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

• May be required to perform tasks which involve exposure to visible blood or body fluids and must follow required procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing of material in accordance with OSHA blood borne Pathogens standards.
