Independence Hill Independent Living in San Antonio, TX is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to maintain clean public areas and designated apartments for our senior residents in a warm, family‑oriented community.

You will follow schedules, assist with daily needs, maintain a safe living environment, report concerns, and participate in staff meetings while delivering compassionate service that supports residents’ dignity and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Clean common areas as scheduled.
• Clean designated apartments weekly as directed.
• Deep clean all vacated apartments to prepare for the next resident.
• Assist in exterior window washing twice a year.
• Ensure a safe living environment for residents.
• Report concerns or observation about residents to supervisor.
• Report needed supplies and/or equipment repairs to supervisor.
• Respond to requests from residents and staff promptly and efficiently.
• Empty trash containers on a regularly scheduled basis and as needed.
• Assist in serving meals and/or bussing tables, as needed.
• Attend staff and in-service meetings.
• Report any on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs.
• Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, community operations and personnel.
• Other duties as assigned.

Housekeeping (Public Areas)

• Clean occasional stains/spots, as needed.
• Wash windows in public areas quarterly or more often, as needed.
