Job summary

Acadia Healthcare is seeking a Housekeeper for day and evening shifts (12pm-8:30pm), Sunday through Thursday, at our Saint Charles facility. You will maintain a clean, safe patient environment and perform routine cleaning tasks to support hospital operations.

A high school diploma is preferred; prior healthcare or commercial housekeeping experience is desirable. CPR and de-escalation training are provided on hire, with emphasis on infection control and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Prior housekeeping experience in healthcare or commercial settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and sanitation of patient rooms, hallways and common areas.
• Disinfect surfaces and equipment using approved germicides.
• Stock and organize cleaning supplies; prepare rooms for meetings or procedures.
• Follow all infection control procedures and safety regulations.

Overview

Housekeeper Day/Evening hours, 12pm-8:30pm, Sunday - ThursdayPURPOSE STATEMENT:

Responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy patient care environment.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform specific cleaning and custodial tasks in the general upkeep, sanitation and cleanliness of the facility.
• Disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment and supplies, using appropriate processes and germicides for cleaning equipment.
• Perform other housekeeping duties, such as move and arrange furniture, turn mattresses, clean kitchens, cooking utensils, silverware, sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors as needed.
• Launder soiled linens as directed.
• Maintain adequate cleaning supplies for department/unit use.
• Properly clean and store all equipment and supplies after each shift.
• Prepare rooms for meetings and arrange decorations and furniture for facility functions.
• Responsible for stocking of supplies as needed
• Follow all infection control measures.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in housekeeping in a commercial, clinical or healthcare environment preferred.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Valid state driver's license, where required in a facility.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.
