StoryPoint Flourish Collection at Rochester is seeking a Housekeeper to clean residents' apartments and public areas according to a schedule and procedures, and perform laundry duties in our commercial facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans all areas as assigned according to departmental standards and procedures.
• Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in assigned areas.
• Make independent decisions and follow instructions.
• Deal tactfully with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Follow written and oral instructions for mixing cleaning compounds and disinfectants.
• Relate information concerning a resident's condition.
• Use supplies economically and report needs for replenishing.
• Operate buffers, extraction equipment, vacuums, and all commercial laundry equipment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Housekeeping Lead.

Required Experience for Housekeeping

• High school diploma andor one to three years related experience andor training; or equivalent combination of education and experiencePrior housekeeping experience preferred

Primary Responsibilities for Housekeeping

• Cleans all areas as assigned according to the departmental standards process and procedures
• Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in assigned areas as directed according to established standards observing proper cleaning technique
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions and follow instructions
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with associates residents family members visitors government agenciespersonnel and the general public
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds liquids disinfecting solutions etc
• Must be able to relate information concerning a residents condition
• Uses supplies in an economical and prudent manner; Reports supply and equipment needs to supervisor for replenishing
• Ability to operate the following machines buffers extraction equipment vacuums and all commercial laundry equipment
• Additional duties as assigned or needed by Housekeeping Lead General

Lead General Working Conditions

This position entails standing for long periods of time The employee must be able to read write and speak fluent English While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to communicate effectively with others sit stand walk and use hands to handle keyboard telephone paper files and other equipment and objects The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens The employee will occasionally lift andor move up to 25 pounds The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others The noise level in the work environment is moderate Occasional travel to different locations may be required
