Job summary

The Towne House Retirement Community is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain resident units, common areas, and the health center, following cleaning schedules and responding to housekeeping needs to ensure a safe, comfortable living environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Prior professional housekeeping experience is preferred.
• Ability to learn new skills via on‑the‑job training.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident units, bathing areas, lounges, offices, dining areas, and common spaces as assigned.
• Mop floors, vacuum, spot-clean carpets, and empty trash.
• Dust and wash furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Clean windows, sills, and perform annual cleaning tasks.
• Clean public telephones and drinking fountains.
• Sanitize lavatories and toilets inside and out.
• Follow written cleaning procedures and schedules.
• Keep equipment and storage areas clean and orderly.
• Transport and stock linens and other supplies.
• Follow infection control procedures.

As a Housekeeper, you help ensure the community remains safe, comfortable, and well-maintained for residents and team members. This role supports the overall operation of the community by responding to housekeeping needs and helping maintain the physical environment.

In this role you will:

• 1. Clean resident units, bathing areas, lounges, offices, hallways, dining area, common areas, public bathrooms, and other rooms as assigned.
• 2. Mop floors, vacuum, spot cleans carpeted areas, and empty trash.
• 3. Dust and/or wash furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• 4. Wash windows and sills and other annual cleaning functions as required.
• 5. Clean public telephone and drinking fountains.
• 6. Clean and sanitize lavatories and toilet bowls inside and out.
• 7. Perform written cleaning procedures and follow written cleaning schedules for common areas, resident units, and health center rooms.
• 8. Keep all equipment and storage areas clean and orderly.
• 9. Transport and stock linens and other equipment.
• 10. Follow all written infection control procedures established by the community

Full-time 7:30am - 3:30pm

Preferred:

High school diploma or GED and prior professional housekeeping experience.
