Job summary

Weekender is seeking an entry-level Housekeeper I to perform routine cleaning in guest rooms and public areas following established SOPs and cleanliness standards. This role offers hands-on training and a chance to contribute to a welcoming guest experience.

You’ll learn hotel room layouts, develop cleaning skills, and work as part of a team to maintain high cleanliness and guest satisfaction in a fast-growing startup environment.

Qualifications

What you'll be responsible for:

The Housekeeper I is responsible for performing routine cleaning tasks in guest rooms and public areas while following established SOPs and cleanliness standards. This is an entry-level role where employees learn hotel room layouts, develop cleaning skills, and contribute to the guest experience by maintaining a welcoming and hygienic environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Perform basic room cleaning tasks including making beds, changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms.
• Restock amenities such as toiletries, towels, and coffee supplies.
• Clean assigned public areas (hallways, stairwells, lobbies) following established cleaning protocols.
• Properly use cleaning chemicals and equipment according to training and SOPs.
• Report shortages of supplies, damaged items, or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests.
• Follow all safety procedures and company standards.

Success Measures

• Completes assigned rooms/areas per shift in accordance with SOPs and brand standards.
• Maintains cleanliness scores at or above property benchmarks.
• Consistently demonstrates punctuality, reliability, and respectful teamwork.
• Adheres to all safety standards with zero preventable incidents.
