Job summary

Overland Park Kansas City Staybridge Suites by IHG is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas in accordance with brand standards. You will clean, stock, and prepare rooms, assist with guest requests, and ensure a welcoming environment for every guest.

The ideal candidate has 6 months to 1 year of similar experience, the ability to stand for long periods, and a keen eye for detail.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel housekeeping preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks.
• Attention to detail and commitment to brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Sorts, cleans, and replenishes guest rooms and public areas according to brand standards.
• Cleans guest rooms and bathrooms, makes beds, and restocks supplies.
• Transports laundry and waste as required and reports maintenance needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Sorts, courts, folds, marks or carries linens
• Cleans rooms in accordance to specific brand and company minutes per room standard
• Cleans guest rooms, including guest bathrooms and kitchen area if applicable, according to company and franchise standards including but not limited to: making beds; emptying wastebaskets; emptying and cleaning ashtrays; moving furniture; handing drapes; sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors; and dusting furniture
• Replenishes supplies such as drinking glasses, writing, bathroom supplies, and linen
• Deep cleans areas as directed by supervisor including but not limited to: cleaning rugs, upholstered furniture and draperies; washing walls, ceilings, and woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area
• All other duties as assigned
