Job summary

Ocala Senior Living seeks a dependable Housekeeper to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming environments for residents, visitors, and staff. You will be responsible for cleaning resident apartments, common areas, and dining spaces, while ensuring infection control and privacy standards are met.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, friendly, and able to work as part of a team in a senior living setting. Prior housekeeping experience and a respectful attitude toward seniors are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred.
• Experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or similar environment is a plus.
• Knowledge of general cleaning practices, sanitation, and cleaning products.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain resident apartments, bathrooms, common areas, hallways, dining rooms, offices, and other community spaces.
• Perform daily cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, kitchens, and high-touch surfaces.
• Empty trash and dispose of waste properly.
• Change bed linens and make beds as needed.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and housekeeping items.
• Follow established cleaning schedules and maintain assigned areas to community standards.
• Use and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Follow infection control procedures to prevent illness spread.
• Identify and report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisor.
• Respect residents' privacy and belongings at all times.
• Respond to housekeeping requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain a friendly and respectful attitude with residents, families, visitors, and team members.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks independently.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
