Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking a Housekeeping Associate to clean and maintain guest rooms to our standards. The role supports hotel operations with timely room turnover and guest-ready spaces.

Morning shifts start at 9:00 am and afternoon shifts at 2:00 pm, with a 24/7 operation and varying weekly schedules in Novi, MI. Responsibilities include stocking supplies, following safety procedures, reporting damages, and ensuring doors are secured after cleaning.

Qualifications

• Bend and reach to dust, clean and make beds and bathrooms.
• Stand and walk for varying lengths of time.
• Use written communication to mark completed rooms on daily paperwork.
• Visual inspection of rooms for cleanliness and guest belongings left behind.
• Effective communication with guests and team members.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a neat appearance.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain guest rooms according to company procedures and standards.
• Stock housekeeping bag with supplies and amenities for each room.
• Observe knocking procedures and secure room doors after cleaning.
• Complete housekeeping checklist and report damages or hazards to management.
• Turn in lost and found items and guest room keys.
• Maintain clean corridors and service areas; adhere to safety rules.

The Hotel operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting times, and hours worked in a week.Stocks housekeeping bag to ensure that enough cleaning needs, equipment and amenities are available to properly clean each room.Observes knocking procedures upon entering a guest room.Cleans the guest rooms assigned. Ensures the amenities are stocked for each cleaned room. Completes entire housekeeping checklist.Accurately marks clean rooms to supervisor for inspection.Reports any damages or hazards that are present in guest rooms, i.e., burned out light bulbs, broken furniture, broken lights, etc.in Guestware or Housekeeping CoordinatorSecures guest room doors upon exiting the room.Keeps the corridors and service area neat at all times.Turns in all lost and found items and all guest room keys.Adheres to all company policies and procedures.Follows safety and security procedures and rules.Knows department fire prevention and emergency procedures.Utilizes protective equipment.Reports unsafe conditions to management.Reports accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to management.Provides for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules.All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well groomed appearance.
