The Hermitage in North Carolina is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, comfortable environment for our residents. You will perform general cleaning, laundry, and waste disposal to ensure a safe, welcoming facility.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, experience in housekeeping, and a compassionate approach to elder care. You will work independently as part of a caring team and help residents feel at home every day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning & Maintenance: vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and mopping resident areas.
• Laundry Services: washing, folding, and distributing laundry for residents and staff.
• Waste Management: dispose of trash and recycling properly.
• Inventory Management: restock cleaning supplies and equipment; notify management of shortages or issues.
• Safety & Sanitation: follow safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean environment.
• Team Collaboration: work with staff to ensure the facility is well-maintained.
• Resident Engagement: interact with residents in a friendly, respectful manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Perform general cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and mopping common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Laundry Services: Assist with washing, folding, and distributing laundry for residents and staff as needed.
• Waste Management: Dispose of trash and recycling materials properly, ensuring that waste areas are clean and organized.
• Inventory Management: Assist with maintaining and restocking cleaning supplies and equipment. Notify management of any supply shortages or equipment issues.
• Safety & Sanitation: Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for residents and staff.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure that the facility is well-maintained and residents are comfortable.
• Resident Engagement: Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
