Medical Park West Rehabilitation and Skilled Care in Norman, OK is seeking a dependable Housekeeper to join our care team. The role involves cleaning resident rooms and common areas, handling linens, and maintaining safe facilities.

Responsibilities include dusting, mopping, polishing floors, vacuuming, window care, trash disposal, and reporting repairs. Strong attendance and respectful communication with residents and staff are essential. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping operations preferred.
• Previous experience with floor-care equipment preferred.
• Able to tactfully communicate with staff, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and the general public.
• Regular, predictable, and dependable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Dust and clean assigned areas including resident rooms, living areas, furniture, fixtures, vents, lavatories and basins as scheduled.
• Dust-mop, wet-mop, or spot-mop floors using appropriate cleaning chemicals.
• Strip, seal, wax and/or buff floors as necessary.
• Vacuum, extract and/or shampoo carpets as necessary.
• Wash and dry windows using appropriate cleaning chemicals.
• Empty trash containers, replace liners and dispose of trash properly.
• Strip and dispose of spoiled linens in appropriate receptacles.
• Replace linens and make residents’ beds as scheduled.
• Report repair needs to supervisor or maintenance.

Job Responsibilities

• Empty trash containers, replace liners and dispose of trash in proper receptacles.
• Strip and dispose of spoiled linens in appropriate receptacles for washing.
• Replace linens and make residents’ beds as scheduled.
• Report repair needs to supervisor and/or maintenance department as appropriate.

Safety Precautions

• Knowledge and understanding on how to properly use cleaning chemicals according to Safety Data Sheets.
• Use proper safety equipment and tools to identify safety hazards and abide by community’s safety policies and procedures.
