The Pines at Poughkeepsie, part of National Health Care Associates, is hiring a Housekeeper to create a clean, healing environment for residents, guests and staff. This entry-level role offers hands-on training and a chance to learn about long-term care while making a meaningful difference.

You will perform daily cleaning tasks, assist with sanitizing, restock supplies, and collaborate with teammates to maintain safety and organization in common areas and resident rooms.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
• Knowledge of cleaning protocols, infection control and safety is valued.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing common areas and resident rooms.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
• Dispose of trash and waste.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a safe and organized environment.
• Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from residents and staff.

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing common areas and resident rooms
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas
• Dispose of trash and waste
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed
• Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a safe and organized environment
• Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from residents and staff
• Operate cleaning equipment such as buffing machines, vacuums, etc.

Rate of Pay USD $16.71 - $18.30 /hr.

What You’ll Bring

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Knowledge of cleaning protocols, infection control, fire prevention and safety measures in long‑term care are highly valued but not required; training will be provided
