Job summary

Monroe Group Ltd. is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to maintain clean, sanitary, and orderly surroundings for residents, staff, and visitors. The role follows provided handling instructions for cleaning and disposal of materials.

The position offers a $500 signing bonus after three months and a $1,500 retention bonus after six months. You will clean, schedule, and assist with community events under supervision.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of housekeeping experience in an affordable housing environment.
• Must be able to work assigned hours as scheduled.
• Must be able to use housekeeping equipment and cleaning supplies as directed.

Responsibilities

• Clean halls, common areas, and vacant units including floors, walls, doors, bathrooms, grounds, stairwells, windows and appliances as instructed.
• Develop property cleaning schedule with supervisor for adequate coverage.
• Maintain cleaning supply inventory and equipment in working order.
• Post notices as needed and assist in scheduling of vacant unit cleaning.
• Decorate for the holidays and assist in community meetings and special requests.

This position must provide; a clean, sanitary comfortable, orderly and satisfying surrounding for the residents, employees, and visitors. The housekeeper must follow the instructions as given for handling, cleaning, disposing, and moving of objects/materials.

This position will offer a $500.00 dollar signing bonus paid after three months and a $1,500.00 retention bonus paid after six months.

Essential Functions

• Cleaning of halls, common areas, and vacant units, to include but not limited to, floors, walls, doors, bathrooms, grounds, stairwells, windows and appliances as instructed.
• Develops property cleaning schedule with supervisor for adequate coverage of buildings and grounds.
• Maintains appropriate levels of cleaning supply inventory
• Maintains cleaning equipment in working order
• Post notices as needed.
• Work with maintenance and community manager for scheduling of vacant unit cleaning.
• Decorate for the holidays including the hanging of decorations.
• Assist in community meetings, holiday functions and special resident requests as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Employee must be able to lift at least 30 lbs.
• Employee will frequently utilize their fingers, hands and arms

• Employee will be required to bend, twist, stoop, pull, push, lift and kneel
• Employees will be frequently required to stretch and reach

Salary Description
