Cantex Continuing Care Network is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors across our long‑term care facility.

You will perform housekeeping, environmental services, cleaning, sanitation, and infection prevention duties in a healthcare setting, following infection control protocols and safety guidelines to support resident satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

Formación

• Experience in housekeeping preferred.
• Experience in healthcare housekeeping, environmental services, hospitality, senior living, rehabilitation, or long-term care settings preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation practices, infection prevention standards, and safe use of cleaning products preferred.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilidades

• Clean resident rooms, patient rooms, common areas, hallways, offices, restrooms, and other assigned facility areas.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and environmental hygiene standards throughout the facility.
• Follow infection control and infection prevention procedures in accordance with facility policies and department standards.
• Clean, sanitize, and disinfect surfaces, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment using approved cleaning methods and products.
• Dispose of waste, trash, and refuse properly according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Support a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, patients, visitors, and staff.
• Report maintenance concerns, equipment issues, safety hazards, and repair needs to the appropriate department.
• Maintain housekeeping equipment, cleaning supplies, and assigned work areas in an organized manner.
• Follow established housekeeping schedules, sanitation requirements, and environmental services procedures.
• Support facility infection prevention initiatives and regulatory compliance efforts.
• Assist with maintaining readiness for inspections, surveys, and quality assurance reviews.
• Demonstrate professionalism, customer service, and respect when interacting with residents, patients, families, visitors, and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Overview
