Job summary

Pūlama Lāna‘i in Lanai City seeks a dedicated Housekeeper to clean transient units, dormitories, halls, and shared spaces, following established quality standards. The role includes linen changes, possible laundering, and reporting issues to the supervision team.

This union, non-exempt position offers a starting hourly rate of $20.07 and requires teamwork, reliability, and a strong safety mindset aligned with the company mission and values on Lanai.

Responsibilities

• Clean transient units, dormitory rooms, halls, duplexes, bathrooms, and common areas per quality standards.
• Perform linen and towel changes; assist with laundering when needed.
• Manage linen supply control and inventory.
• Report housing problems, maintenance needs, damage, or theft to supervision.
• Return found articles to Manager.
• Work safely and protect Company property.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

Under limited supervision, cleans all transient units, dormitory rooms, halls, duplexes, bathrooms, community areas, and recreational buildings in accordance with the quality standards set by management.

Compensation

$20.07/hour (non-exempt)

This is a Union position with 1 opening.

Reports to: Housekeeping Supervisor

Responsibilities

Essential Duties

• Cleans all transient units, dormitory rooms, halls, duplexes, bathrooms, community areas, and recreation buildings in accordance with the quality standards set by management, and as assigned.
• Responsible for linen and towel change.
• May be responsible for laundering linen.
• Assists with linen supply control and inventory.
• Reports all housing problems, maintenance work, damage, or theft.
• Turns in all found articles to Manager.
• Performs work with due regard to safety of self and fellow employees, and with proper care and protection of Company property.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Work Cards/Certifications

• Valid Hawaii Driver’s License and successful review of Motor Vehicle Record

Physical Requirements

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear.
• The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
