Job summary

Sanderling Resort in Kitty Hawk, NC is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness in guest rooms and public areas. You will follow the hotel’s SOPs, respond to guest requests, and support safety and inventory processes to ensure top-quality service.

This role offers a $300 sign-on bonus paid in installments and requires reliability, stamina, and the ability to work independently or with a team. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be needed to meet business demands.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain guest rooms and resort spaces according to SOPs.
• Respond promptly to guest requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Monitor supplies and replenish towels and linens as needed.
• Safeguard keys and adhere to safety policies.
• Notify supervisor of maintenance issues and assist with special cleaning tasks.

Position Overview:

As a Housekeeper at the Sanderling Resort, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and order of guest rooms, common areas, and other resort facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain guest rooms and resort spaces according to the hotel’s Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P.s).
• Promptly respond to guest requests, ensuring satisfaction and a positive experience.
• Maintain adequate supplies, linen, and materials, keeping inventory and replenishing when necessary.
• Safeguard and manage any assigned keys throughout the shift.
• Adhere to proper handling of cleaning supplies to ensure safety and prevent damage to hotel property.
• Notify the supervisor of any maintenance issues or special requests.
• Assist in preventive cleaning programs and other special assignments as required.

Position Requirements:

• A strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is a plus but optional.
• Physical stamina to stand, bend, and move for extended periods.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
