Job summary

The Lodge at Mammoth Cave is seeking a seasonal housekeeping assistant for now through October, located at Mammoth Cave National Park. Responsibilities include cleaning check-outs, changing sheets and towels, dusting, scrubbing and vacuuming, plus laundry support to ensure guest rooms and common areas meet high standards.

Candidates should be detail-oriented and able to work a variety of day, weekend and holiday shifts. A valid driver's license and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• One year of housekeeping experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Flexibility to cover day, weekend and holiday shifts.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to meet physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Clean check-outs: change sheets and towels, empty trash, dust, scrub and vacuum.
• Report damaged or missing items and turn in lost and found items to management.
• Notify management and maintenance of any repairs needed.
• Stock cleaning supplies, guest supplies and linens.
• Unload cart of dirty linens and trash and assist in laundry as needed.

The Lodge at Mammoth Cave (MCNP ONP, LLC) operates a variety of Food Services, Retail, Lodging and Bus Transportation within the beautiful National Park! We have 50 guest rooms ranging from standard motel style rooms to historic cottages within walking distance of the National Park Visitors Center! If you are looking for a unique place to work and have a passion for providing customer service, this is the spot for you this summer!

This is a short term seasonal position, Now - October

Responsibilities

• Clean check-outs, including; changing sheets and towels, emptying trash, dusting, scrubbing and vacuuming
• Report damaged or missing items, turn in all lost and found items to Management
• Notify Management and Maintenance of any need repairs
• Stock cleaning supplies, guest supplies and linens
• Unload cart of dirty linens and trash
• Assist in laundry as needed

Position Requirements

• Attention to detail
• Must be able to work a variety of day, weekend, and holiday shifts
• Ability to work independently
• Must have a valid Drivers License
• Must be able to spend the majority of the day walking, twisting, bending, pushing and pulling
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs. with frequent bending, twisting and squatting required

Experience

• One (1) year of housekeeping experience preferred
