Job summary

Grand Village Assisted Living and Memory Care is seeking a part-time Environmental Services/Housekeeper for 8am-4pm shifts. You will provide a clean environment for residents, cleaning rooms, common areas, and facilities in accordance with schedule.

Responsibilities include carpet/furniture cleaning, floor care, disinfecting spaces, laundry duties, waste disposal, and maintaining supplies. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to support residents and staff daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office in Windows environment.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal supervision.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Professional phone etiquette and customer service.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Problem solving and good judgement.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect and straighten resident rooms, work areas and common spaces.
• Clean carpets, furniture and draperies; vacuum or shampoo as needed.
• Sweep, mop and scrub floors; disinfect sinks, tubs and bathrooms.
• Dust and polish furniture and metalwork; wash windows and doors.
• Handle spills and perform deep cleaning on schedule.
• Move furniture as needed to maintain occupied and attractive rooms.
• Empty trash and manage laundry as directed.
• Store equipment properly and promote positive relationships with residents and staff.

POSITION SUMMARY: 8am-4pm, Part-Time

Responsible to provide a clean environment for residents.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Clean, disinfect and straighten resident rooms, work areas and common spaces according to cleaning schedule, which may include but not be limited to:
  • Clean carpets, furniture and draperies with vacuum cleaner or shampooer
  • Sweep, scrub and policy hard floors using broom, mop or power scrubber
  • Scrub and disinfect sinks, tubs, toilets and bathing rooms
  • Dust and polish furniture and metalwork
  • Wash windows, sills and doors
• Clean and disinfect spills and soiled areas as needed or directed
• Deep clean according to schedule
  • Move and straighten furniture
• Maintain cleanliness of unoccupied rooms to make them attractive for resident occupancy
• Empty wastebaskets and properly dispose of trash
• Collect, wash, dry, fold and distribute laundry as directed
• Ensure equipment is stored properly
• Promote positive relationships with residents, staff and visitors

Perform any other duties as requested within the scope of responsibility and requirements of the job.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education and Experience

High school diploma/GED required.

Computer Skills

Must have demonstrable knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office in a Windows environment, with a capacity to master company specific software.
