Job summary

Grand Villa of Deland, an assisted living community, is seeking a dedicated housekeeper to maintain clean resident rooms, common areas, and facility spaces.

You will follow health and safety protocols, restock supplies, and report maintenance issues, contributing to a safe, welcoming environment for residents. Background screening is required by Florida law; prior housekeeping experience is preferred, and the role requires physical stamina and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping or custodial experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Good communication and a positive attitude.
• Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards in healthcare or assisted living is a plus.

Housekeeper – Assisted Living Community

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning duties in resident rooms, common areas, and facility spaces, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces
• Ensure all areas meet health and safety standards and are maintained to a high level of cleanliness
• Dispose of trash and recyclables in accordance with facility policies
• Restock cleaning supplies and report any maintenance or safety issues to management
• Follow infection control protocols and safety procedures at all times
• Assist with special cleaning projects as needed to support the overall cleanliness of the community

Skills and Qualifications:

• Prior experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or custodial services preferred
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
