Job summary

Lanessa Extended Care in Webster is seeking full-time housekeepers to join our team. Weekly pay at $16 an hour, day schedule, and an every-other-weekend rotation. You will perform day-to-day housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable facility for residents.

No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided. A minimum of one year of housekeeping experience in a nursing home or medical facility is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• No experience necessary, on-the-job training provided.
• A minimum of one (1) year experience in housekeeping in a nursing home or related medical facility is preferred, but not required.
• The ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must follow instructions and accept constructive criticism.
• Must deal tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents’ rooms are neat, clean and free from odor.
• Wet mops floors daily.
• Shampoo and extract carpets as per schedule.
• Attend to spills immediately.
• Empty trash liners and clean containers.
• Clean bed and rails with disinfectant.
• Clean all countertops, windowsills, bedside tables, furniture and over the bed.
• Strip, seal and refinish floors as per schedule.
• Clean floor edges and corners to prevent build-up.
• Clean windows and mirrors.
• Clean personal items, pictures, decorations, flowers, etc.
