Job summary

Chicago Behavioral Hospital in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper for day shifts (6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., every other weekend).

The role includes cleaning patient rooms, offices and public areas while maintaining a safe, risk-preventative environment compliant with Joint Commission, CMS, State and OSHA standards. You will perform routine cleaning, restock linens, disinfect surfaces, and ensure supplies are kept organized and securely stored.

Qualifications

• One year of housekeeping experience preferred.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of patient rooms, offices and public areas.
• Vacuum, dust, mop, sweep, and dispose of trash.
• Ensure adequate linens and supplies are stocked and available.
• Disinfect surfaces and maintain clean, safe facilities.
• Keep supply closets organized and storage areas secure.

Are you a Housekeeper looking for a rewarding and challenging role in psychiatric care? Chicago Behavioral Hospital is seeking a compassionate Housekeeper to join our team.

The Housekeeper provides completes daily housekeeping routines such as cleaning patient rooms, offices, and public areas while ensuring a safe and risk-preventative environment within The Joint Commission, CMS, State, and OSHA standards and regulations.

• Perform routine cleaning tasks of patient room, office and public areas.
• Vacuum, dust, mope, sweep, and take out the trash.
• Ensure that adequate linens are kept in the facility.
• Clean areas with disinfectants.
• Refill supplies (paper products, soap, etc.)
• Assures that supply closets are kept clean and orderly.
• Keep cleaning supplies and equipment safely stores when not in use and away from patients access when in use.

Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for:

• Experience: Preferably one (1) year experience in housekeeping field.
• Additional Requirements: Must be able to work with minimal supervision. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.

Compensation:

This is a full-time role and the expected compensation range for this role is $17.00 - $20.00 an hour. We’re eager to engage with all qualified candidates, and consideration will be provided to experience and skill level. Join us as our Housekeeper!
