Job summary

Regency Integrated Health Services in Del Rio, TX is seeking a PRN Housekeeper to keep the facility clean, sanitary, and welcoming for residents. The role involves a range of cleaning tasks under supervision to maintain orderly conditions and a positive environment.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or equivalent, with preferred housekeeping experience and the ability to follow safety procedures and instructions from supervisors. This is a flexible, on-site position.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a housekeeper or janitor preferred, but not required.
• Able to follow safety procedures and supervisor instructions.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, buff, strip, wash and shampoo floor surfaces.
• Clean and dust furniture, closets, telephone areas and vents.
• Scour, polish and sanitize sinks, counters, stainless steel surfaces and waste receptacles.
• Empty waste receptacles and transport medical waste to outside storeroom as directed.
• Use room deodorizer as necessary.
• Ensure paper supplies are always available.
• Wash windows and walls, including removing draperies and rugs as directed.
• Gather and return needed cleaning supplies and equipment daily to support rooms, as directed.
• Follow OSHA Standards for handling infectious waste.

The Housekeeper performs tasks that involve cleaning and servicing the building areas of the facility. In addition, a variety of housekeeping duties are performed in order to maintain the facility in an orderly, sanitary and attractive condition under the supervision of the housekeeping supervisor. They also assist in maintaining a positive environment for the residents.

Qualifications

Thoroughly and consistently performs the following cleaning tasks:

• Sweeps, mops, vacuums, buffs, strips, washes and shampoos floor surfaces
• Cleans and dusts furniture, closets, telephone areas and vents
• Scours, polishes and sanitizes sinks, counters, stainless steel surfaces and waste receptacles
• Empties waste receptacles and cleans solid waste containers and transports medical waste to outside storeroom, as directed.
• Uses room deodorizer as necessary.
• Ensures paper supplies are always available.
• Washes windows and walls, which may involve removing draperies and rugs, as directed.
• Gathers and returns needed cleaning supplies and equipment daily to support rooms, as directed.
