Job summary

Join the Oasis at Death Valley as a Housekeeper to keep rooms and common areas spotless and respond to guest needs with a positive attitude. This full-time year-round or seasonal position is located in Death Valley National Park, CA, within the Oasis resort complex.

Typical schedule is 40 hours per week with weekends, evenings and holidays; pay is $17.65 per hour. We offer employee housing, meals, on-site facilities, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, and 401k.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Availability for AM and PM shifts, including weekends.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with courteous service and care.
• Clean and prepare guest rooms to standard including bed sheets and bathrooms.
• Follow procedures for chemical use and room cleaning systems.
• Maintain housekeeping cart and related equipment such as vacuums and mops.
• Learn location hours to assist guests with questions.

Position Type: Full-time year-round or Seasonal

Start Dates: As soon as possible on next available check in date (approximately three weeks)

Pay: $17.65/hr

Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (will include weekends, evenings, and holidays). During high business volume this position may require overtime.

Responsibilities

• Provide our guests with the best in service, courtesy, and care.
• Clean and prepare guest rooms to time and cleanliness standards including changing bed sheets, cleaning bathrooms, etc.
• Follow all procedures for chemical use and room cleaning systems.
• Maintain Housekeeping cart and related equipment such as vacuums and mops
• Work safely to avoid injuries and accidents including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment.
• Assist with maintaining linen room cleanliness.
• Learn about location and hours to be able to assist guests with their questions.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be available for AM and PM shifts.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to bend, push, pull, kneel, lift and stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures.
