The Alverno, a part of Trinity Health Senior Communities, seeks a dedicated Housekeeper for its Clinton, IA community. This Full-time, Day Shift position includes Sundays on a rotating weekend schedule and focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting living environment for residents.

Responsibilities include routine cleaning, infection control adherence, supply management, and cross-training in laundry services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in long-term care or with the geriatric population is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Maintain assigned work areas in a clean, safe, sanitary, and attractive condition.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions practices.
• Ensure adequate supplies are available and maintained to perform daily tasks.
• Clean and store equipment and supplies at the end of the shift.
• Report extinguished or malfunctioning lights and other facility issues.
• Change and install light bulbs as needed.
• Clean and polish the community, including windows, mirrors, walls, ceilings, furnishings, and floors.
• Perform daily floor care including stripping, waxing, buffing, vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting.
• Housekeeping team members are cross-trained in laundry services.

General Responsibilities:

• Ensure assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, sanitary and attractive manner.
• Ensure established infection control and universal precautions practices are maintained when performing environmental services procedures.
• Ensure adequate supplies are available and maintained in order to perform daily tasks.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are cleaned and properly stored at the end of the shift.
• Report extinguished light bulbs, exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, room call lights, malfunctions, breakdowns, etc.
• Change and install light bulbs as needed.
• Clean and polish the community including windows and mirrors, walls and ceilings, furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating and cooling units and floors, to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping.
• Floor care including stripping, waxing, buffing, vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing and disinfecting, etc., daily.
• Complete deep thorough clean of entire room as needed including prior to admission or after discharge Housekeeping team members are also cross trained in laundry services

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working in long-term care or with the geriatric population preferred
