Job summary

The Ivy Blue Oaks in California seeks a dedicated Housekeeper to clean resident apartments, common areas, and work spaces, and to perform resident laundry with courtesy and attention to residents and staff. The role emphasizes safety and compassionate service on a senior living campus.

Qualified candidates are at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and can pass background checks and health screenings.

Qualifications

• Prefer prior housekeeping or janitorial experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For health and safety of our team members and residents, vaccinations and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Clean all resident apartments, as directed.
• Clean all public areas, common areas, and work areas as directed.
• Complete community and resident laundry and ironing, as assigned.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests, following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning all resident apartments, public areas, common areas, and work areas and doing laundry for both the residents and the community in a friendly, courteous manner, in accordance with the companys mission, vision, and values.

• Complete community and resident laundry and ironing, as assigned.
